Robert Dean McCullough

Robert “Bob” McCullough, Sr., 82, passed away on Mar 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by craftsmanship, mentorship, and enduring love for family. Bob was a master mechanic in the truest sense of the word—a man who could take raw steel in his hands and shape it into precisely what was needed. He loved riding Harley’s but his passion was the restoration of Model A and Model T automobiles. To Bob, these vehicles were living history, and he dedicated countless hours to preserving their integrity and spirit. His garage was both workshop and classroom, where he generously shared his knowledge with others. Beyond his mechanical talents, Bob shared a profound bond with his beloved wife, Dalean, whose passing in 2021 left a lasting void in his life. In the years since, Bob found quiet comfort in driving his Model T to the cemetery to visit her—a reflection of both his enduring love and his steadfast nature. Bob is survived by his daughter, Kelly Lowry; his son, Robert (Amy) Mims; five grandchildren, Cynthia, Samantha, Robert, Ronnie (Dorothy Jane), and Keith; eleven great-grandchildren, Kara, Bubba, Chrissy, Savannah, Aden, Simario, Adenaya, Eliott, Hakulanie, Henry, and Danny; and one great-great-grandchild, Asher. Brother, Terry (Jolene) McCullough, and sister, Diane Wells. His legacy lives on not only through his family, but through the many individuals he inspired. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Goodwin. He will be remembered as a man of skill, humility, and heart—someone who built not just machines, but meaningful connections that will endure for generations. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026, 12:00 PM at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge with Pastor Danny P. Stoneham, officiating.
