Patricia Ann Horan

Patricia Ann Horan, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, in Lansing, MI. Born on April 14, 1935, in Detroit, MI, to the late Joseph C. and Martina M. (Higgins) Murphy. Pat lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Pat graduated from St. Martin of Tours in Detroit, Class of 1953, and went on to have a diverse and fulfilling career. She started as a switchboard operator for the FBI before becoming a paraprofessional at Delta Center Elementary in the Special Education Department. Pat also contributed her talents to the Michigan Hospital Association, leaving a positive impact wherever she worked. Pat was a devoted family woman, raising her children, Terry, Daniel and Colleen, with love on Huckleberry Lane in Delta Township. The neighborhood became her second family, and together they formed the wonderful Huckleberry Hounds, gathering for card games and shared experiences, creating lasting friendships that would bring joy for years to come. In her free time, Pat loved to bowl and try her luck at the casinos, where she enjoyed playing the slots. She also treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, Anna, Jack, and Halle, who brought endless joy to her life. Pat is survived by her son Daniel Horan, daughter Colleen Horan, twin-brother Randal Murphy, brother Joe (Cheryl) Murphy, sister Mary (Arlene Guindon) Murphy, along with her grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by husband, Thomas; son, Terry; brothers, John "Jack" and Paul Murphy, and sisters-in-law Phyllis Murphy and Mary Ann Murphy. Pat will be remembered for her warm smile, kind spirit, and the genuine love she shared with everyone around her. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, Grand Ledge by Father James Eisele.
