Eufrasio "Eddie" Alago Gonzalez

Eufrasio “Eddie” Alago Gonzalez of Lansing went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2022. Eufrasio was born January 14, 1934 in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Carmelo Alago and Carmen Gonzalez. He moved to the mainland from Puerto Rico in 1956; however, his heart was always for his homeland. He married Anita, the love of his life, in 1966 and they spent 56 blessed years together. Eufrasio was a member of Rivers of Life Church in Lansing and was an Ordained Minister and also held a degree from the Dale Carnegie University. Eufrasio followed the leading of the Lord and felt compelled to share the Gospel to the lost. He wanted to make sure that he shared with those folks around him how they could be sure they were on their way to Heaven by placing their faith and trust in Jesus as their savior. God used Eufrasio to help hundreds come to know him through faithful witnessing. He is now at rest in the joys of Heaven. Eufrasio retired from GM after 24 years, holding a record for never missing a day or arriving late. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and spending time with his family. He loved amusement parks, especially riding roller coasters which, he was still riding as of 2021 at the age of 87. His motto, “The bigger the better”. He is survived by his wife, Anita (Hayes); children, Angelo E. (Tina) Alago; Magdalena Renderos, and Theodore “Teddy” J. Parks; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren his brother, Honorato “Nato” Alago Gonzalez as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews all in Puerto Rico. Eufrasio was preceded in death by his infant son, Eufrasio Antonio “Little Tony” Gonzalez.; siblings; Ana Colon, Maria Torrez, Jose, Carmeleto, Onofre “Tonio” and Esteban “Tevo”. According to Eddie’s wishes a cremation has taken place and his cremated remains will be taken back to Puerto Rico. Even in death Eufrasio continued giving as he was an organ donor. Eufrasio nació el 14 de enero de 1934 en Utuado, Puerto Rico, hijo del difunto Carmelo Alago y Carmen González. Se mudó al continente desde Puerto Rico en 1956; sin embargo, su corazón siempre fue para su patria. Se casó con Anita, el amor de su vida, en 1966 y pasaron juntos 56 benditos años. Eufrasio era miembro de la Iglesia Rivers of Life en Lansing y fue Ministro Ordenado y también obtuvo un título de la Universidad Dale Carnegie. Eufrasio siguió la dirección del Señor y se sintió obligado a compartir el Evangelio con los perdidos. Quería asegurarse de compartir con las personas que lo rodeaban cómo podían estar seguros de que estaban en camino al cielo al depositar su fe y confianza en Jesús como su salvador. Dios usó a Eufrasio para ayudar a cientos a llegar a conocerlo a través de un testimonio fiel. Ahora descansa en los gozos del Cielo. Eufrasio se retiró de GM después de 24 años, con un récord de nunca faltar un día o llegar tarde. Le gustaba pescar, cocinar, la jardinería y pasar tiempo con su familia. Le encantaban los parques de diversiones, especialmente las montañas rusas, en las que todavía viajaba en 2021 a la edad de 87 años. Su lema, "Cuanto más grande, mejor". Le sobreviven su esposa, Anita (Hayes); hijos, Angelo E. (Tina) Alago; Magdalena Renderos y Theodore “Teddy” J. Parks; 9 nietos; 11 bisnietos su hermano, Honorato “Nato” Alago Gonzalez así como muchos primos, sobrinas y sobrinos todos en Puerto Rico. Eufrasio fue precedido en la muerte por su hijo pequeño, Eufrasio Antonio “Little Tony” Gonzalez.; hermanos; Ana Colón, María Torrez, José, Carmeleto, Onofre “Tonio” y Esteban “Tevo”. De acuerdo con los deseos de Eddie, se llevó a cabo una cremación y sus restos cremados serán devueltos a Puerto Rico. Incluso en la muerte, Eufrasio siguió dando como donante de órganos.
