Beverly Kaye Patten

Beverly Kaye Patten Grand Ledge resident passed away April 21, 2021 with her loving family by her side. Bev was born November 12, 1943 in Alma, Michigan to the late Barney and Bette (Dye) Bolt. She graduated from Alma High School Class of 1961. She was a proud stay-at-home mom and was married to James Patten for 35 years until he passed away in 2001. She enjoyed traveling out west to Jim’s home state of South Dakota as well as visiting the Great Lakes. She cherished spending time with her many close friends, family and especially her grandchildren. She attended as many of the grandkids’ sporting events that she could. She was known for her kindness, generosity and wicked sense of humor. Bev is survived by her children, Robert (Kelly) and Dana (David) Patten; grandchildren: Anthony, Elliott, Amelia, Jameson and Wyatt along with her brother, Barry (Monica) Bolt and her sister-in-law Pamela Bolt. She will be deeply missed by those that loved her most. Special thanks to Dr. Timothy Izzo, her friend and doctor for the last 30 plus yrs. A heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at Sparrow Hospital for their excellent care and to Joe and Barb at Fairview Grand for their end-of-life care and support. We know mom has been reunited with her husband that she missed so dearly for the last twenty years. We find comfort that she is now in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Blessed Mother and all the saints. We will miss your smile, your wit and huge heart. We love you mom, grandma, sister and friend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, 11 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, Grand Ledge by the Reverend Fr. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-3:00 pm and 5-8:00 pm at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Covid protocols requiring masks, social distancing and capacity limitations will be observed at both the funeral home and church.
