Timothy Cote' Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Timothy Coté of Grand Ledge passed away on September 24, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tim was born May 12, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to Alfred and Elaine (McBurney) Coté. He attended Tecumseh High School and managed the Green Door in Lansing for many years. He was an employee at the Grand Ledge Recycling Center and chaired the Absentee Voter Board for the City of Grand Ledge. Tim was self-taught in technology and really enjoyed and focused on website design. He was a talented photographer and a collector of diecast cars. He also founded a website and community for diecast enthusiasts. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Stephanie (Summers); children, Mandi (Dutch) DeGee, Amy (Don) Larson, Tony (Amber) Coté, Megan (Jay Sawdon) Coté and Madison (Jason Wood) Coté; grandchildren, Trinity, Chase, Brianna and Jaydyn. Tim was preceded in death by his dad, Alfred; mom, Elaine; step dad, Johnny Whittaker and brothers, Larry and Leonard Coté. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 1, 2021, 3:00 pm at St. David’s Episcopal, 1519 Elmwood Road, Lansing, Michigan 48917. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 6-8pm and Friday one hour prior to the service. Masks will be required for the visitations and the service at the church. Memorial contributions in Tim’s name may be given to St. David’s Episcopal Church. Arrangement by the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
