Mark R. Stevens of Grand Ledge passed away July 20, 2016. Mark was born January 6, 1930 in Delta Twp., Eaton Co., Michigan to the late Jake and Zoa (Steimer) Stevens. Mark retired from Fisher Body after thirty-one years; However, Mark’s lifelong passion was farming. He loved everything from the equipment to the preparation, planting, growing season and harvest time. He was a father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be remember for his hard work ethic and quiet strength. Mark is survived by his children Theresa (Don) Beatty, Greg (Linda) Stevens, Patt (Gus) Gustifson, Mark (Shannon) Houdek, and Deborah (Thomas) Keehn; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Ardith Gene Burns. Mark was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy L. Stevens on December 8, 2015; sons, Michael Purtill and James Miller; daughter, Sherri Collins; brother, Jerry and sisters, Oral Marie and Dori Anne. A private family committal service will take place. Memorial contributions may be given to The Salvation Army, 525 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing, MI 48912.
