Marie Ann Thompson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marie Ann Thompson of Grand Ledge passed away May 14, 2022. Marie was born May 10, 1946 in Lansing to the late John and Bernice (Pearson) Salisbury. She was a loving stay at home mom raising 6 wonderful children. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cookouts and celebrating special events and holidays with her family and friends. As a young family, they maintained a large garden and Marie did a lot of canning of homegrown food. She was a member of the Bible Missionary Church in Hastings and looked forward to attending the church’s annual camp meeting in Sunfield. She is survived by her children; Ernie (Raeannah Campbell) Thompson, Donna Thompson, Joyce (James) Norton and Mary Jane (Ray) Hill; 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Clarence (Joyce) Salisbury, Lewis (Lori) Salisbury and Helen (Bill) Walters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale in 2014; children, Richard Thompson and Peggy Swisher; siblings, Harold Salisbury, Leonard and Judy Salisbury, Leon Salisbury, Donna and Leon Cochrane, Marion and Floyd Thompson, Delores and Dwight Dunlap. A private family interment will be at Pioneer Cemetery in Oneida Township, Eaton County, MI. Memorial contributions in Marie’s name may be given to Eaton County Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 242, Charlotte, Michigan 48813. Arrangements by the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
