H. Eileen Tvorik Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hazel Eileen Tvorik of Eagle passed away peacefully and painless from complications resulting from Alzheimer’s Disease. Eileen was born in Detroit, Michigan, as the only child, to the late William R. and Hazel M. (Edgerton) Allan. She graduated from Detroit Southeastern High School Class of 1955, received a Bachelor’s Degree from WMU and a Master’s in Education from MSU. Most of Eileen’s career was spent as an Elementary Educator in the Lansing School District but had also taught at a US Army base in Manheim, Germany. Eileen will be remembered as a kind and loving person who enjoyed gardening, doing crafts, sewing and the outdoors. She had a strong interest in nature and environmental matters and also enjoyed learning about her family’s history and genealogy. As a result, she traveled to Scotland with her dad and daughter, Colleen, to visit the Allan homeland and also visited areas of Eastern Europe enjoying outdoor recreation, including skiing. She was also a member of the Jug & Mug Ski Club in Lansing where she was involved with ski trips and summer activities. Eileen also had the privilege of traveling with her husband to all 50 states and the Canadian Provinces. She is survived by her husband of over 45 years, Robert, who will miss her never ending support and encouragement in his pursuit of starting a business; as well as her children, Colleen (Dan Hutchings) Tvorik and Robb Tvorik. A Celebration of Eileen’s life will be held this summer and details will be announced as they become available.
