Dana McCrumb

October 14, 1962 - December 17, 2020

Dana Nicol McCrumb went to be with the Lord on December 17th. Our awesome wife and mother lost her battle with pancreatic cancer but was a true fighter until the end. Dana was born on October 14th, 1962 to Ralph and Betty Nicol in Lansing, MI. Her father and brother Nick preceded her in death. Dana graduated from Grand Ledge High in 1980 and went on to school at Iowa State University and Western Michigan University. Dana worked and retired from the State of Michigan and was currently employed by M.P.H.I. in Okemos, MI until the end. She was a loving wife and cherished her role as a mom and grandma. She loved trips up north, especially to the U.P. She also enjoyed visiting casinos and loved Las Vegas. She had a special place in her heart for her designer cats, Bailey, Aubree and Beemer, and don’t forget her labs, Cruz and Dakota. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Matt, her daughters Marissa Dean M.D. of Birmingham, AL and Monique (Paolo) DiBenedetto of Charleston, SC, her stepson Chase McCrumb of Byron, MI, her one special granddaughter Mia DiBenedetto, her mother Betty Nicol, her sister Lisa (Dick) Esper, her nephews Eric (Audra) Esper, Chad (Lauren) Esper, Owenn McCrumb, Brogan McCrumb, and Axel McCrumb. Due to COVID restrictions, a private service will be held at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge on December 19, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Wacousta Cemetery immediately following the funeral home service and is open to all that would like to attend.
