Charles Peiffer

Charles “Charlie” T. Peiffer, 86, of Grand Ledge, passed away on April 28, 2022. Born to parents George and Pauline Peiffer on December 13, 1935, in Grand Ledge, MI as their oldest child. In 1958, he married his sweetheart, Thelma “Tea” Anderson, and the couple had two children. Charlie was employed by the Michigan National Guard from the time he was 18 until age 30 before building a very successful communications business from which he would later retire. Charlie enjoyed many years of travel and camping with family and friends, hunting, cooking, classic western films, and absolutely loved the view from his seat at the dining room table. Charlie is survived by his daughter, Jan Strouse; his son, Chris Peiffer; grandchildren, Ashley (Joe) Wohlscheid and Joe (Shelby) Peiffer; and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma “Tea”; his parents George and Pauline; parents-in-law, Elof and Gladys Anderson; and son-in-law, David Strouse. A memorial service may be scheduled at a future date to be determined. Arrangements by the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
