Stacey Lynn Kolmodin

Stacey Lynn Kolmodin of Delta Township passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2023. Stacey was born February 17, 1983 in Lansing, Michigan to Mark and Tammie (Thompson) Rademacher. She graduated from Grand Ledge High School in the Class of 2001 and went on to completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Grand Valley and received her Master’s Degree from Grand Canyon University. Stacey and her husband, Tim, moved to North Carolina where she taught elementary students in the Hope Mills School System. One year her class received recognition for achieving the greatest improvement in reading scores. After 12 years, they returned to Michigan to be closer to family. Stacey was a big MSU fan and loved to attend games with her dad. She had the wonderful ability to connect with kids. They would immediately sense her kind, fun-loving spirit and would be drawn to her. She enjoyed playing games and creating fun activities with young people and they enjoyed every minute with her. She loved playing the piano. Stacey was a loving wife and mom and as a family they looked forward to spending time together playing games at home or with their grandparents or taking trips to local zoos and aquariums. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and will be remembered for the wonderful loving person that she was and the many lives that she touched. She is survived by her husband of over 17 years, Timothy; children, Julian and Brooklynn; parents, Mark and Tammie Rademacher; father and mother-in-law, Dave and Debbie Kolmodin; grandmothers, Susanne Rademacher and Barbara Thompson; sister, Jamie (Jeff) Carver; brother-in-law, Joel (Katey) Kolmodin; sisters-in-law, Kimberly (Elwynn) Martin and Melodie (Nick) Branyan; nieces and nephews, Levi Martin, Deegan and Alanah Kolmodin along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Stacey was preceded in death by her sister, Allison Brooke Rademacher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 30, 2023, 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 345 Edwards Street, Grand Ledge 48837 by Father James Eisele. Rite of Committal will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3:00 PM at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home and from 6-8:00 PM with a Scripture Service and a time of sharing and remembrance at 7:00 PM at St. Michael Catholic Church. The family is requesting that those attending the visitation and Scripture Service on Sunday wear MSU apparel in honor of Stacey. There will also be visitation on Monday at the church from 10-11:00 AM. Memorial contributions in Stacey’s name may be given to Julian and Brooklynn’s college savings accounts. Contributions envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church or can be done by mail.
