Renee Jean Kellogg

Renee Jean Kellogg of Eagle passed away February 3, 2020 at home with her family by her side. Renee was born May 14, 1963 in Lansing, Michigan to Jack C. and Shirley L. (Hartsell) Remer. She graduated from East Lansing High School Class of 1981 and went on to attend Lansing Community and Northwood College to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Renee started working for Consumers Energy in high school and continued working for over thirty-eight years. Full of energy and love Renee was a free spirit who always saw the best and most positive in all aspects of life. She spent the greater part of her life following her husband Steve around on all of the many adventures of life, most prominently trips all over the country to partake in the sun and the fishing which she loved. She loved her family deeply and was known as the mother and grandmother that never missed a game, concert, or other school event. Renee never missed an opportunity to spoil everyone and was known as “Mrs. Clause” for her great love of Christmas and the crazy amount of presents she would buy for her family and pets. Her dogs were perhaps the most spoiled of all never missing a chance to buy them gifts, and snacks. She had a great love for animals, especially beagles of which throughout most of her life she had at least two at all times. She is survived by her husband of over 27 years, Steve; children, Andrew (Amber) Kellogg and Heather (Michael) Elmore; grandchildren, Collin, Aryana and Maycie; mother, Shirley Remer and sisters, Debra (James) Taylor and Linda (Dennis) Davidsaver, and her fur babies Dakota and Remington. Renee was adored by her nieces, nephews, great niece and nephews, aunt and cousins. Renee was preceded in death by her dad, Jack. A private Celebration of Renee’s life will be held at a later time.
