It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rebecca Sue Hayes, beloved sister, aunt, and cherished friend, who left this world on February 15, 2025. Born on June 1, 1942, in Lansing, Michigan to the late William and Shirley (Johnson) Fedewa, Rebecca, known affectionately as Becky, lived a life filled with creativity, love, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. A proud graduate of Resurrection Catholic High School, Becky completed her education in the class of 1960. She dedicated her professional life to the personal care industry, becoming a well-respected Avon Manager and Sales Representative. Through her work, she touched the lives of many, showcasing her exceptional talent for building meaningful relationships with clients. Becky was not only a dedicated professional but also an artist at heart. She filled her home with beauty, enjoying painting and mastering the art of cake decorating, all while delighting family and friends with her wonderful cooking. Her warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew her. Rebecca is survived by her loyal niece, Carrie Hunt; beloved sister-in-law, Lynda Hayes; nephews, Chris Sokoloski and John Hunt; niece, Jennifer (Barry) Ford; and brothers-in-law Lemuel Hunt and Don Sokoloski. Her legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind. The funeral service honoring Rebecca Sue Hayes will be held on February 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7:00 PM and Friday one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Rebecca will be laid to rest at N. Eagle Cemetery, Eagle Township, Clinton County, Michigan. There will be a luncheon at the funeral home following the committal service at N. Eagle Cemetery. In this time of sorrow, we invite all who knew and loved Becky to come together to honor her remarkable life and celebrate the joy she brought to each of us. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband Ronald in December 3, 2024 and sisters, Jayne Sokoloski and Cynthia Hunt.
