Linda Kaye Hamilton

Linda Kaye Hamilton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on August 11, 1942, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Omar "Arkie" and Hazel "Bette" (Brodbeck) Loe, Linda filled her life with love, creativity, and a steadfast commitment to those she held dear. Linda graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1960, and one year later, on June 3, 1961, she married her beloved husband, David Hamilton, at the Grand Ledge First Congregational UCC. They shared a beautiful life together, which included raising a wonderful family. Linda worked as an Administrative Assistant with the U.S. Department of Agriculture but gladly gave up her career when she and Dave started their family. She returned to work when the kids got older and finished out her career as a realtor. True to Linda's priorities, as soon as the grandkids came along she retired and devoted her life to being the best grandma she could be. Her grandkids adored her! Her creativity knew no bounds; Linda was an enthusiastic painter and an accomplished seamstress, crafting lovely pieces that brought joy to all. She delighted in the simple pleasures of life, from completing puzzles to cooking and baking delectable treats, including her famous cream puffs. Linda and her family cherished their time at their cottage in Paradise, Michigan, on Whitefish Bay on the shores of Lake Superior, where countless memories were made. Linda's deep faith and commitment to the Lord were evident in everything she did. She cherished every opportunity to share God's love through her caring, tender, and merciful spirit. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her beloved husband of over sixty-four years, David, her son, Brian (Debbie) Hamilton, her daughters, Jill (Mike) Dunn and Janice Galloway, and her grandchildren: Kaitlin Hamilton, Grant (Ashley) Hamilton, Olivia Hamilton, Stephen Tate, Paul (Rosalia) Tate, Zachary (Carla) Tate, Kelsie Galloway, Brady (Emalie) Galloway, and Grace Galloway, her greatgrandchildren, Mason Hamilton, Landon Tate, Yuna Tate, Henrik Tate, and another one expected April 6, 2026, her brother, Andrew (Dorothy) Loe; brother-in-law, Dan Kassuba, and sister-in-law, Valerie Loe. Linda was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Kassuba, and her brothers, Roger and Michael Loe. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, 11:00 AM at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge with Pastor John Lemke of the Grand Ledge Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery, Oneida Township, Eaton County, Michigan.
