"Better Than Many"- Dan's comment when asked how are you?; Dan was always thinking of others above and beyond himself. He was willing to step up and help wherever he was needed. He was extremely supportive of his wife and children. He provided very well for his family to the very end. He loved his grandchildren very much and played with them often. He made many good memories with them. Above all he loved his LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, who welcomed him into heaven with "well done good and faithful servant". Daniel Lloyd Tryon, born on May 12, 1959, in Lansing, MI, passed away peacefully August 7, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. He dedicated his professional life to serving the State of Michigan as an auditor, a role that he embraced with diligence and integrity. Daniel is survived by his loving spouse, Dana Tryon, of 33 years and their three children, Sandra, Stephen, and Seth, who will forever cherish the memories of their father. He was a proud Papa to Breslyn and Brynlee, who brought endless joy to his life, and eagerly awaited the arrival of his grandson in December. Daniel shared a close bond with his family, including his sister Cheryl Granger and brother-in-law Brent Granger, as well as his sister-in-law Jamie Atkin, and brother-in-law Bill Atkin. He was also deeply loved by his mother-in-law, and husband, Stan and Sandra Casebere, and father-in-law and wife Dennis and Rita Kares, and many friends and family that he loved and they too loved him and will miss him until we meet again. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Dennis and Joan (Robbins) Tryon. Daniel's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His unwavering commitment to his family and community will continue to inspire everyone who had the pleasure of sharing in his life. A Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Crossroads Church,102 W. César E. Chávez Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48906 with Pastor Curtis Wright, officiating. Visitation will be at the church Friday, August 14, 2026 from 4-7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 11-12:00PM.
