Cindy Louise May

Cynthia Louise May of Lansing passed away September 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. Cindy was born July 1, 1965 in Lansing, Michigan. Cindy graduated from Grand Ledge High School in the Class of 1983 and went to work for John Henry/WestRock for 39 years. She enjoyed the outdoors while riding her bicycle or walking. She also looked forward to spending time at the family cottage on Houghton Lake during vacations and as often as she possibly could. She was a huge MSU fan and will be remembered as a kind loving person who was always looking for ways to bless those around her. She is survived by her husband, Les; mother, Janet Clay; sister, Kim (Scott) DeLashmit; step-daughters, Barb (Gerald Laughs) Kearns and Diane (Marty) Binkowski; step-son, Steve (Jody) May along with several aunts and uncles. Cindy was preceded in death by her dad, Tom Clay who passed away April 27, 2020. A memorial service for both Cindy and Tom will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. The family has requested those who attend to come casual in your favorite MSU (Cindy’s favorite) or U of M (Tom’s favorite) attire. A private family burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Mulliken. There will be a meal to celebrate Cindy and Tom’s life immediately following the service at the Mulliken Masonic Temple, 206 Main Street, Mulliken, Michigan 48861.
