Carl Anthony Hill

Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” – Henry Ford Carl Anthony Hill of Delta Township formerly of St. Johns passed away December 6, 2022 at home with his loving wife by his side. Carl was born December 15, 1961 in Mason, Michigan to Gilbert and Bonnie (Brooks) Hill. He graduated from Clare High School Class of 1979 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. During his time in the Army, he was an aviation mechanic and then became an Intelligence Analyst for the National Security Agency, where he met his wife, Carrie. After serving a tour in Hawaii, he and his family moved back to central Michigan where he finished college, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University. Carl then purchased a small farm near St. Johns. He worked at the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service as a Cartographer for nearly 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, camping, and hiking, and was an avid collector of stamps and coins. He will be missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife of over 28 years, Carrie (Revitzer); children, Collin Hill, Catherine Hill; step-sons, Chris (Tyler) Brown and Corey (Leah) Brown; grandsons, Atticus, Ronan, and Oliver Brown; mother, Bonnie Connor siblings, Shari Hill, Patricia Hill, Tom Hill, Dawn Tisron, Mike Hill, Beth (Tim) Little, and Don (Amanda) Hill. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert and brother, Kevin Hill. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 9, 2022, 10:00 AM at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Visitation will be Friday immediately prior to the service from 9-10:00 AM.
